to Reactivate the Ethics and the Development of our villages, our kingdoms…
Foreword
The cultural meeting that we propose is aimed at all the children of the leopard. All these peoples whose nights are stalked by the leopard, and who ended up domesticating to populate Kue-Ngo, or Kongo (in the land of the leopard). These are the peoples, whom Armand Zanzala calls children of the leopard, the Kungwe or Kongoué, Mbongo, Mbongoué among the Mbongo or Mbenga (pygmies); Angwe or Angoué, Édingwe among the Ngala; Mengo, Mongo, Kuengo and Ongoué or Ongwe, among the Téké; Nzongo, Kongo and Ngongo among the Nsundi; and Ngoma, between the Loango and the Kota; all those human communities in the heart of Africa. Malaki Ma Kongo of the children of the leopard.
Within the framework of the Decade of African Descent People, Malaki ma Kongo Association for the Promotion of African Cultural Roots invites the worthy children of the heart of Africa, the authorities of Culture, kings, scholars, Afro-descendants, to participate in the Malaki Ma Kongo des fils du leopard that will take place on October 28 and 29, 2023 in Paris, France.
What is Malaki ma Kongo?
It’s the revival of the culture of a true Africa, created in 1991 in the Rep. of Congo Brazzaville. The Malaki ma Kongo cultural association was born as a continuation and development of the Malaki ma Kongo festival, which promotes the roots of black African culture in general and the heart of Africa in particular. The festival is celebrated annually: today it takes place on three continents.
Although inspired by the Kongo culture, which is promoted, the festival is open to other world cultures… The first and last shows always take place outdoors, around a large wood fire. Malaki is a ready-to-wear festival capable of moving not only from one country to another, but also from one continent to another.
Outside the Congo, Malaki has branches in Congo Kinshasa, Angola, Benin, Italy, France, Spain, Ghana, Guadeloupe, Haiti in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Chile, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, USA and Canada.
The backdrop of Malaki ma Kongo is the renaissance of the culture of a true Africa that is expressed in these terms:
• research on the origins of African cultural identity and its diaspora
• revealing the various ills that undermine Africa
• thinking of how to approach solutions
The Malaki ma Kongo of the children of the Leopard. In this case the word Kongo or Koongo no longer designates an ethnic group or tribe, since it is only a deformation of the words Kuengo, Kongo, Kango and Ku ngo which mean « of the leopard » and indicate both a territory and all the peoples that live there. And it is through their fight against the leopards, the addition of a prefix or a suffix to the root ngwe, ngoué or ngo, the use of the leopard’s name and the insignia made with the bones, the skin, the fangs and the claws, of this fearsome and legendary animal, the tales and stories about the encounter of his ancestors with the leopard, which all prove his identity and his belonging to the great Kungo, Kuengo, Kongo, Kongwe and Kango tribe. Vast territory stretching from present-day Angola and extending to Gabon, passing through the two Congos, was once dominated by leopards and leopards whose names in almost all Congolese languages carry the root Ngo or Ngwe.

Les Kongo, au 1er Congrès des Kongo à Paris.
A great challenge opens before us and together we will appreciate to what level, our kings, our wise men from Africa and Afro-descendants, are capable of facing this challenge. We are all aware that nature rebels against us, due to our mistreatment of the environment and humans.
Therefore, we pray to our kings and sages to draw closer to each other, to bring back the harmonious life between man and nature on earth. And who could do it better than the descendants of the pharaohs?
Chef Kongo, Gabriel Kinsa lors du 1er Congrès des Kongo à Paris.
